Changing a Negative Self Image
The importance of changing a negative self image into a
positive one cannot be overstated. It seems like everyone is an
authority on the subject. Thousands of self help books
and dozens of movies have been added to the man's collective storehouse
of knowledge. I've read many of them and I'm sure you have also. At
times in my life I've questioned myself, my purpose, and the meaning of
life. I've spent countless hours searching for the so called Holy
Grail, that one ingredient, that one TRUTH that would put the pieces of
my broken life in order. This may be the piece you're missing and if
not I trust you gain some clarity. You will find that millionaires
never under estimate the importance of sound research. Clarity of
thought is the goal. It has been said that you can learn more from a
millionaire in 5 minutes. than from a broke guy in 5 years!
This reminds me of a story I once heard Its about a
father and his young son. It will illustrate how a negative self image
affects the world around us.
One night a man came home after a long draining day at
work. After dinner without a word he retired in his den to read the
newspaper. His young son had missed his dad all day, and like a typical
boy wanted to play. He tried getting his dad's attention several times
but to no avail. The man was getting annoyed and decided to give the
boy something to do. That way perhaps he could catch a quick nap behind
his newspaper. The dad had noticed a picture of a world map while he
was reading. The next time he was disturbed he put his plan into
action. The father quickly ripped the map into several small pieces. He
told the boy "Do NOT disturb me until you put this map back together!"
He then scattered the pieces on the floor and buried his face once more
in his newspaper.
Only a few seconds passed and the boy was tugging on his
fathers arm. When the man looked down the boy had the map neatly put
together on the floor in front of him. Surprised The dad asked the boy
how he was able to put the map together so quickly? The boy replied,
"It was easy dad, you see on the other side of the map was a picture of
a man. Once I put the man back together the world fell right into
place!"

Through self discovery you to will discover the same
truth I've discovered. The importance of changing your negative self
image into a positive self image. You are now a millionaire in the
making. You will soon discover how and where to apply your energies and
remove any false limitations in your life.
When you look in the mirror who do you see? Yourself you
may say, right? WRONG. You only see a reflection of your physical body
a part of yourself, Nothing More. We are more than a body (clothed or
unclothed). We've established that the real you is invisible to your
NAKED EYE. The real you is present but you see only part of your total
being. I'll demonstrate What I mean.

This little graphic sums up a library of understanding
about the SELF, the real you. I apologize for its simplicity because I
understand people have spent fortunes in search of these simple truths
(I had my daughter draw it). I Need you to follow along and participate
in this exercise (believe me its easy) and I'll explain its meaning.
The first step to self discovery is knowing where to
look. To change a negative self image into a positive one you must
focus your mind in the correct way and direct it toward the correct
object that you want to change. I call this graphic the four windows of
self awareness.
Now I need you to make a copy of this graphic for
yourself. Label it with a combination of 4 symbols exactly as shown.
This graphic shall be a working model on just about everything you need
to know about your negative self image
in the upper left put XX, in the upper right put XOin the lower left put OX and in the lower right put OO

Here is a rather scholarly definition of self image to start our discussion.
Self Image
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A person's self image is the mental picture, generally
of a kind that is quite resistant to change, that depicts not only
details that are potentially available to objective investigation by
others (height, weight, hair color, sex, I.Q. score, etc.), but also
items that have been learned by that person about himself or herself,
either from personal experiences or by internalizing the judgments of
others.
My definition cuts right to the heart of the matter.
here is the key to the graphic:
the XX stands for every thing you know about yourself and what everybody else knows.
The XO stands for what you know about yourself and things about you that nobody else knows.
The OX is knowledge that everybody knows about you and you don't know about yourself. This is where wise council comes in.
OO is things you don't know about yourself and nobody else knows either.
This is a place that can birth wonderful acts of
kindness or terrible acts of evil. This is a place of creativity and
genius The fact is it is your responsibility and mine to discover and
bring out the best results. A negative self image stands in the way of
you becoming the best you can be. The place to look is into the great
unknown area the 00. Some call this the heart the subconscious part of
man. From this part of you flow the very issues of life. You can use
the power of your thoughts to change what comes out of you by changing
what goes in. Never allow negative thoughts to fester and multiply.
We find then that self image is the knowledge you know
about yourself and the what other people know about you. But this is
only surface knowledge. The key is bringing even your unknown parts
into perfect working harmony. As noted in Wikipedia's definition above
the self image is quite resistant to change. This tells me that it can
change. Which is the best news yet.
Naturally this knowledge can be right or wrong, good or bad, positive or negative, objective or subjective etc etc.
So, what is the big deal about having a negative self image?
This is important because NO person in the history of
mankind has ever lived above their own self image. Just like in the
story once the man is made complete the world that surrounds that man
falls quickly into place. Raising from a negative self image to a
positive one will accelerate your quest to becoming my next
millionaire.
Trade in your negative self image
in for a positive one.
